Gunnebo Industries is an international company operating worldwide. We are market leaders in lifting and material handling, manufacturing products such as chains & lifting components, shackles, and lashing products. With manufacturing units and sales companies in several countries, we make our products available globally. Gunnebo Industries is part of Kito Crosby and is now owned by Columbus McKinnon.
Quality and innovation have been the foundation of Gunnebo Industries for more than 250 years. Together with our strong brand and dedicated employees, we develop products that meet future demands.
About the role
In our factory in Gunnebo, we manufacture high-quality steel chain products for both lifting and fishing. We are equipped with machinery for drawing, annealing, hardening, calibration, and powder coating. We work in the SAP business system and use digital tools, such as Balthzar, to measure utilization, availability, and efficiency of our machines.
As a Production Technician, you will have the opportunity to gradually grow into the role and develop alongside experienced colleagues. You will participate in and eventually lead production technical improvement and development activities focused on efficiency, quality, and working environment.
A key part of the job involves working with data, follow-up, and analysis of our production processes. By using system support and key performance indicators (KPIs), you will help identify improvement opportunities and translate them into practical actions in production.
You will collaborate closely with production, maintenance, and other support functions in the factory. The role involves both independent work and teamwork, with clear support from the production technology department. As you develop in the role, you will have the opportunity to take greater responsibility in projects and improvement work.
About you
We are looking for you who have a technical education focusing on areas such as production, industrial engineering, automation, or similar. You may be relatively new to the working life or at the beginning of your career as a production technician.
You have an interest in how production works in practice and are curious about developing and improving processes. We appreciate that you have good digital skills and enjoy working in various systems, analyzing data, and following up on results. Experience in improvement work, industrial production, or Lean is meritorious but not a requirement.
Good knowledge of the Office suite as well as fluent Swedish and English in speech and writing is required.
As a person, you are:
- Curious, engaged, and willing to learn
- Analytical and solution-oriented
- Responsible and unpretentious in collaborations
To succeed in the role, you need:
- To thrive in a factory environment and appreciate a varied daily routine
- To be structured and comfortable working with follow-ups and details
- To have good communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with various professional roles
We offer
We offer a developing workplace where you have the opportunity to grow into the role of Production Technician and gradually take on more responsibility. Here, you will work close to production and influence how we develop our methods and processes.
We value diversity and strive for a gender-equal work environment where all employees have equal opportunities to develop and contribute.
Is this something for you? Please contact Michael Axén, Production Technology Manager, phone 0490‑856 02, or Moa Falk, HR, phone 0490‑856 30, for more information about the role and the recruitment process.
